Description

Anubias barteri var. nana "Pinto" is a stunning cultivar characterized by its striking variegated foliage. The leaves display beautiful patterns of white, light green, and dark green. Because it lacks chlorophyll in the white areas, it grows even slower than standard Anubias varieties and requires slightly more light to thrive and maintain its high-contrast appearance.

Planting and Care

As a rhizomatous plant, the "Pinto" should never have its rhizome buried in the substrate, as this will cause it to rot. It is best utilized by attaching it to wood or rocks using thread or cyanoacrylate gel superglue. While it can survive in low-tech setups, providing medium light and supplemental CO2 will help fend off algae, which this slow grower is particularly susceptible to.
