I picked something very unconventional this year as the best aquas-cape.... Going with 'Against the flow'. This aquascape has a very articulated arrangement of driftwood which creates a scene as though the photograph is a live water body that is infact flowing water. Most of the plants used in this aquascape is also guiding the viewer into following the flow of water. This I believe is something new and makes a good point for the IAPLC. There is also a wide variety of plants that is used in the aquascape which is also shows the experience of the aquascaper and his love for various types of plants. The play of light and shadow is also very good in the photograph to depict a much larger waterbody. All the Danio choprai the fauna used in this aquascape make an impressive scenery going against the flow. Infact these fish are more suitable to fast flowing streams such as these in Myanmar and the usage of some white gravel in the foreground is one point of distraction in an otherwise plain black foreground and I believe this is the gravel that has slipped down from the higher parts in the aquarium. Many congratulations to the creator of 'Against the flow'. It took me from a photograph to a movie.
